Cecelia Shollock Obituary

Cecelia (Ceil) Shollock, 95, was called to her heavenly home on Sunday, February 18, 2024. She was the wife of the late Paul T. Shollock, who died in 2019.

Born in Plains, PA, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Lottie Skalski Opiatowski, Ceil graduated from Forest City High School and worked at Russell’s Ice Cream Parlor in Forest City., before she married Paul in 1951and they moved to Levittown, PA

Ceil was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt and will be dearly missed by her daughter, Barbara Ann Curtis and husband, Richard and five grandchildren, Isabella; Alexander and Cassandra, his fiancée; Anna; Thomas and Matthew Curtis all of London, England. She is also survived by several cousins, and nieces Roseann Swegel, Mary Burns, Ann Marie Saam and Theresa Burns and nephews Joseph Celbusky and David Shollock, Sr., all who live in the Forest City area.

She was also predeceased by her in-laws, Alexander and Anna Shollock and sisters-in-law, Madeline Celbusky and Helen Shollock.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, April 8th at 10:30am in St. Joseph's Church, 741 Delaware Street, Forest City. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church from 10:00am until mass time. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City.
