Ann M. (Murnin) Majdic

Ann M. Majdic, 93, of Vandling, died Saturday, March 2, 2024 at the Forest City Nursing Center. Her husband of 64 years, Henry “Hank” Majdic, died on August 16, 2021.

Born in Vandling, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Dolores Gleason Murnin. Ann was a 1947 graduate of Vandling High School. She was a member of Ascension Parish, Forest City. Prior to retirement, she worked as a teacher's aide in the Head Start Program at Forest City Regional School District.

The family would like to thank Dr. Tomazic, the staff of the Forest City Personal Care Home and Forest City Nursing Center for their kind and compassionate care. Also, the family would like to extend a special thank you to neighbors and friends for their visits and phone calls.

Ann is survived by 3 sons, Dr. James Majdic and wife, Lynn, Williamsburg, VA; John Majdic and wife, Peggy, Vandling; and Henry Majdic and wife, Ann, Southport, NC; eight grandchildren, Jeffrey and fiancé Rachel, Garrett, Kristen, Blaize, Leah and wife Andria, John, Paige, and Sam, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Gerald Majdic; brothers, James, Francis, Michael and John; and sisters Margaret Mary and Collette Murnin.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10:30am in St. Joseph's Church, 739 Delaware Street, Forest City. Friends may call Friday 9:30am until Mass time at the church. Interment in St. Agnes Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main St., Forest City.
