David Bianco, 72, of Pleasant Mount, Pennsylvania, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2024.

He was a kind and generous husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend with a great sense of humor and we will all miss him until the end of our days. David was an active community member and dedicated family man. He was a former head coach of the Forest City Little League Cougars, an avid skier at Elk Mountain, and a former member of the legendary Butch’s Golf Tournament, as well as Wivey’s Golf League.

Born in Carbondale to Clara Golecki Bianco, Forest City and the late Sam Bianco, David graduated from the Forest City Regional High School in 1969. He went on to attend the University of Pennsylvania under a Small Town Scholarship, graduating cum laud in 1972, and the Dickinson School of Law, graduating in 1976. He served as an Assistant Attorney General in Harrisburg before moving home to Vandling in 1977. Upon his return he worked as a staff attorney with Northern Pennsylvania Legal Services before joining Robert Fields in the practice of general law with offices in Forest City and Waymart, assisted by paralegals Donna Tedesco and the late Donna Sredenschek. He served as Wayne County Assistant District Attorney from 1984 to 1988 under then District Attorney Raymond Hamill. He was a former solicitor for Mount Pleasant Township, Union Dale Borough and the Wayne County Department of Children and Youth Services and a former member of the Pennsylvania and Wayne County Bar Associations. In 2017 David was honored by Forest City as a Distinguished Citizen and presented with a Key to the City in recognition of his pro bono work for local civic organizations. He retired his practice of law in January, 2018.

David is predeceased in death by his father, Sam Bianco, and two infant daughters, Mae Elizabeth and Emily Rose Bianco.
